Gusto is seeking a senior leader to head AI Platform, overseeing an org of about 25 engineers and managers. You will shape the technical strategy, determine what the shared platform should own, and partner with product and data science to scale AI across the company.

You will report to the Head of Engineering, Core Experiences, and play a key role in growing leadership, ensuring reliability, and advancing AI-native work practices across teams.

Qualifikationen

• 12+ years in engineering, including leading through other managers and tech leads.
• Track record shipping AI or agent products with clear ownership of the engineering behind them.
• Ability to set technical strategy across multiple teams and align cross-team outcomes.
• Depth to discuss architecture with senior engineers without coding yourself.

• Lead the group's technical strategy for building agents and ensuring a shareable platform.
• Set the roadmap for the shared platform versus product-team owned components.
