Job summary

Merck is seeking an Executive Director of AI Delivery Management to shape vision and drive the day-to-day execution of APEX’s AI engagements. You will lead a dispersed team, embed ethical AI practices, and partner with IT and business leaders to deliver measurable value across portfolios.

Candidates should possess 15+ years in senior software leadership, 5+ years managing managers across geographies, and a proven track record delivering enterprise AI initiatives with strong stakeholder

Qualifications

15+ years of progressive leadership in software development or related fields
5+ years leading managers across multiple geographies
5+ years delivering enterprise AI or intelligent automation with measurable impact
Experience operating at scale in large enterprise environments with product lifecycle and stakeholder engagement
Strong familiarity with agile, product, and portfolio management practices and tools

Responsibilities

Set vision/strategy for AI delivery management and lead execution across AI engagements
Lead a ~30 FTE or more distributed across tech centers, fostering servant leadership and psychological safety
Oversee AI product management, roadmaps, and go-to-market readiness
Manage demand, prioritization, and governance for the APEX portfolio to align with priorities
Ensure client engagement excellence, stakeholder management, and measurable business impact
