Job summary

The University of Richmond seeks a Sr Director of Accessibility Services to lead campus accessibility initiatives and serve as the ADA Coordinator for the university. You will supervise staff, allocate resources, and develop a shared vision for accessibility across all UR schools, involving students, staff, and faculty.

You will plan and direct services for students with disabilities and support UR employees, reviewing documentation, advocating accommodations, and collaborating with HR,

Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act and ADAAA as they relate to higher education.
• Ability to interpret disability diagnoses and determine accommodations.
• Experience developing and implementing accessibility policies, procedures, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develops and articulates a shared vision for campus accessibility and oversees programmatic initiatives.
• Plans and directs services for students with accessibility needs at all UR schools and supports UR employees.
• Oversees budget, staff resources, and allocation of resources; supervises staff and evaluates performance.
• Provides ongoing education and outreach regarding accessibility for students, staff, faculty and parents.
• Collaborates with HR, Facilities, and other departments to implement a campus-wide accessibility plan.
