Job summary

Flygt, a Xylem business, seeks a motivated Sales Representative to cover municipal and industrial wastewater customers in the Chicago area. You will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to post-sale support, delivering Flygt pumping, mixing, monitoring, and control solutions that improve system performance and reliability.

Build trusted relationships with utilities, engineers, contractors, and facility managers while translating technical capabilities into measurable value and leading

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years outside sales, territory management or related roles.
• Experience with pumps, water/wastewater systems, or capital equipment.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly in Chicago-area territory.
• Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for the Chicago-area municipal and industrial markets.
• Manage opportunities from prospecting to closing and post-sale support.
• Develop relationships with utility leaders, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Translate technical capabilities into clear operational value; deliver product demos and training.
• Maintain a healthy pipeline, forecasts, and coordinate with internal resources to win opportunities.
