Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Chicago, IL seeks an Operations & Sales Manager to lead the manufacturing facility (50+ employees, ~$12M annual revenue). You will own safety, quality, delivery, cost, people leadership, and customer execution, while aligning production with demand.

You’ll drive Lean/Six Sigma, improve profitability, and develop the site team. Responsibilities include budget and CAPEX, revenue growth, and collaboration with Sales on new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• 7+ years leading operations in a manufacturing environment with 20+ employees.
• 5+ years of strong financial acumen with site-level P&L, labor models, and budgets.
• 4+ years working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve SQDCP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People) targets.
• Ensure on-time productions while meeting quality, regulatory, and compliance standards.
• Align production schedules, materials, and customer demand across the site.
• Maintain a safe, compliant work environment (OSHA, EHS, environmental standards).
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement and cost reduction actions.
• Own site revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and issue resolution.
• Partner with Sales and leadership on business development, demand planning, and quoting.
• Manage site financial performance, including budget, costs, and CAPEX execution.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team and culture, ensuring alignment with multi-site strategy and governance.
