Job summary

Hunter Chevrolet in North Carolina is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. If you have hands-on diagnostic skills, repair expertise, and take pride in quality work, we want to hear from you.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of main shop automotive technician experience required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic abilities.
• Experience with electrical troubleshooting is a plus.
• ASE certifications and/or manufacturer training are highly preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of customer and dealership vehicles.
• Perform routine maintenance as well as more complex mechanical/electrical repairs.
• Use modern diagnostic equipment and manufacturer service information to identify and resolve concerns.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of customer and dealership vehicles.

Quality & Efficiency

• Complete repairs accurately and efficiently while maintaining high‑quality standards.
• Perform thorough inspections and identify additional service or repair needs.
• Follow manufacturer procedures and recommended repair guidelines.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with Service Advisors to communicate vehicle needs and repair recommendations.
• Provide accurate information to help create a smooth customer experience.
• Work as part of a team to maintain an efficient and productive shop environment.

Safety & Professional Development

• Follow all dealership safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Stay current with new automotive technology, diagnostic equipment, and manufacturer procedures.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

What We're Looking For
