Job summary

Sir Walter Chevrolet in Raleigh, NC is seeking motivated Automotive Service Technicians to join a premier GM dealership family. We offer training, support, and career growth while delivering quality repairs and excellent customer service.

Experience welcomed, with paths for advancement from Technician to Master Technician. Competitive pay based on experience, plus a $300 monthly vehicle allowance and factory training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive repair experience required.
• GM dealership experience is a plus but not required.
• ASE certifications preferred but not required.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance according to repair orders and manufacturer specifications
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brake, and HVAC systems
• Test-drive vehicles and utilize GM diagnostic equipment to accurately diagnose concerns
• Perform warranty and customer-pay repairs efficiently and accurately
• Complete multi-point inspections and recommend additional maintenance when needed
• Communicate repair needs and estimated completion times with Service Advisors
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
