Adams Chevrolet is seeking a skilled automotive technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles to dealer standards. You will work with diagnostic tools, assist service advisors, and ensure warranty work meets manufacturer specs.

The ideal candidate has GM certification or GM experience, ASE certifications, and a strong automotive background. A clean driver's license and ability to pass a background check are required; we offer training and growth opportunities in a family-owned shop.

Qualifications

• GM Certified or GM experience required.
• ASE certifications preferred.
• Strong automotive background essential.
• Teamwork and collaboration skills required.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must have a clean and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance per repair orders and dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to identify issues.
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, brakes, and A/C systems.
• Communicate with Service Advisor on repairs and time estimates.
• Complete warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• GM Certified or GM experience
• ASE certifications
• Strong automotive background
• Strong teamwork skills
• Willing to submit to a drug screen& background check
• Must have clean & valid driver's license
