BBA Afterschool Inc. is hiring energetic and reliable After-School Instructors to teach Chess or STEM to elementary-aged students in Prince George's County.

This part-time, after-school role runs weekdays with 1.5-hour sessions, providing a structured curriculum and all necessary materials. Ideal candidates are college students studying Education, Math, Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields who enjoy building engaging learning environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with or willingness to teach Chess or STEM topics to elementary students.
• Able to work part-time after school hours (1:00 PM–5:00 PM).
• Strong communication, classroom management, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Teach elementary students Chess or STEM activities.
• Follow BBA's structured curriculum and lesson plans.
• Create a fun, safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
• Supervise groups of approximately 15 to 25 students.
• Communicate professionally with schools and BBA leadership.

BBA Afterschool Inc. is hiring energetic and reliable After-School Instructors to teach either Chess or STEM to elementary-aged students in fun, structured enrichment programs throughout Prince George#39;s County.

This is an excellent opportunity for college students interested in education, engineering, computer science, mathematics, science, child development, or related fields. If you enjoy working with children and creating an engaging learning environment, we#39;d love to hear from you.

We are currently hiring instructors to teach either Chess or STEM programs.

Position Details

• Part-time, after-school position

• Monday through Friday

• Between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM

• 1.5-hour sessions

• $37.50 per session ($25 per hour)

• No weekends

• No lesson planning required

• Curriculum and equipment provided

• Communicate professionally with school staff and BBA leadership

Qualifications

• Experience playing or teaching Chess, or experience with STEM subjects, is preferred but not required

• Comfortable working with children in grades K through 5

• Reliable transportation to schools throughout Prince George#39;s County

• Dependable and punctual

• Must successfully complete the required Prince George#39;s County Public Schools background check and fingerprinting process
