Job summary

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers in Colorado Springs and Pueblo seeks an experienced Admixture Tech to ensure safe, accurate chemotherapy admixture and timely medication preparation under supervision.

This role offers mileage reimbursement, comprehensive benefits, and a collaborative team of pharmacists and nurses. Candidates should have IV skills, pharmacy technician certification, and a high school diploma.

Salary range $19.00-$28.00 per hour with eligibility for benefits as listed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three to five years experience in a pharmacy with IV skills.
• IV certification preferred.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate or State Board requirement recommended.

Responsibilities

• Prepares medication orders by compounding or admixing medications under supervision of a physician.
• Checks all orders for completeness of information.
• Verifies patient information and proper physician authorization.
• Checks all orders for insurance approval before admixing and prepares drugs timely.
• Calculates correct dosage volumes and maintains indigent patient drug program.
• Counts controlled drugs weekly and maintains records.
• Maintains current drug information and MSDS sheets.
• Disposes materials properly and cleans hood daily.
• Logs and dates all drugs; maintains temperature and protocol drug logs.
• Maintains control documentation of medications and inventory.
• Assists with ordering and billing; data entry into pharmacy systems.
• Supports cleaning and maintenance of the admix area.
