Job summary

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers in Lakewood is seeking an experienced Admix Technician to ensure safe, accurate chemotherapy admixtures and timely pharmacy support. You will work under physician supervision, perform IV admixture, verify orders, and maintain thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three to five years experience in a pharmacy with IV skills.
• IV certification preferred.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate or State Pharmacy Board requirement recommended.

Responsibilities

• Prepares medication orders by compounding or admixing medications under supervision of a physician.
• Checks all orders for completeness of information.
• Verifies patient information and proper physician authorization.
• Checks all orders for insurance approval before admixing.
• Calculates correct dosage volumes and maintains drug logs and temperature records.
• Maintains current drug information and MSDS sheets.
• Properly disposes materials used when mixing chemotherapy or non-chemotherapy IVs.
• Logs and dates all drugs being used and maintains lot numbers.
