Pioneer Metal Finishing is seeking a Chemistry Lab Technician for 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm). The role focuses on maintaining accurate chemical processes essential to our finishing operations. We are looking to hire a Chemistry Lab Technician to work on 1st shift (Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm) We will consider candidates with varying levels of chemistry experience. In addition, we will also consider training candidates who have a strong interest in chemistry with good math aptitude and great communication skills. The person would be flexible to various training schedules and willing to do what it takes to learn all aspects of this role. Sharp parts, sharp tooling, heavy carts, occasional hot and cold temperature and humidity levels, heat from ovens, moderate noise levels, hand and air tool use, compressed air (must use hearing protection). Must be able to maneuver a full drum or barrel of chemical that varies in weight. (est. 500-700lbs) Must successfully complete respiratory fit testing. Hazard chemicals handled frequently. Must adhere to PPE requirements and core safety principles with regards to hazardous materials handling.
24-year college degree or courses in chemistry. Strong math aptitude needed. Strong oral and written communication skills.
