Job summary

Actalent in Saint Paul, MN seeks a Chemistry Lab Technician (Level 2) to support a high-volume contract testing lab by registering samples in LIMS, labeling, and preparing materials for HPLC testing while following GMP/GLP standards.

This role features a clear career ladder, daily 8:00 am–4:30 pm schedule, and potential overtime; on-site work with a dairy focus, safety training, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in chemistry or wet chemistry including titrations and pH testing.
• Laboratory experience with sample registration and LIMS familiarity.
• Strong organization to handle high sample volumes and accurate records.
• Ability to follow SOPs and GMP/GLP/USDA quality standards.
• Safe handling and storage of lab equipment and chemicals.
• Attention to detail in weighing, labeling, and data entry.
• High school diploma or science degree with readiness for laddered progression.

Responsibilities

• Register incoming samples in LIMS and print/apply labels.
• Deliver and organize samples for testing across labs.
• Prepare samples for HPLC testing and process analyses after training.
• Perform balance work including titrations and pH testing.
• Maintain safety, 5S, and clean glassware in lab areas.
• Input data accurately and adhere to SOPs and quality standards.
• Stock and manage lab supplies and participate in team meetings.
