Job summary

Chemtrade is seeking a Chemist/Lab Technician Co-op to support our team in Cairo, OH. This role targets students in their 2nd year or beyond pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.

You will gain hands-on experience in chemical manufacturing, lab analysis, process optimization, safety practices, and technical documentation. The position offers exposure to lab instrumentation, data collection for material balances, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 2nd or 3rd year chemistry student pursuing Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum GPA 3.0 / 4.0.
• Duration May 2026 - August 2026.
• Proficient in lab settings and data recording.

Responsibilities

• Analyze product sampling based on customer requirements using lab instrumentation (ICP-MS, UV/Vis, Auto titrator).
• Assist with lab testing, equipment calibration, and maintaining lab records.
• Analyze metal contaminants in cleanroom environments.
• Analyze Ultra-Pure samples with ICP-MS at PPT and PPQ levels.
• Perform troubleshooting and scheduled maintenance on instrumentation.
• Support Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement projects and audits.
