Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology or related field required.
• Working knowledge of chemical principles and safe handling.
• Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff and students.
• Proficiency with standard computer software.
• No prior experience required

Responsibilities

• Researches and purchases items needed for the department, coordinating receipt and distribution of inventory.
• Completes reports to track stockroom expenditures.
• Schedules preventative maintenance and repairs to keep equipment working.
• Monitors supplies and maintains stockroom and chemical inventories.
• May recruit, hire, train and manage student employees.
• Serves as liaison with EHS and participates on the Safety Committee.
• Collaborates with EHS and instructors on safety information and disposal of chemical waste.
