Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology or related field.
• Clinical internship in MT/MLS approved program is required.
• 5 years experience as a Medical Technologist.
• Two years experience in Chemistry preferred.
• Two years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the 24-hour function of the chemistry section.
• Process specimens and ensure accurate test results.
• Provide orientation and ongoing competency of personnel.
• Promote staff development and act as the lab resource person for the section.
• Maintain active communication and strengthen collaboration with pathologists, medical staff, nursing units, the chemistry section and other lab staff.
