Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc. is seeking an entry-level Scientist 1 in Chemistry Development for a 12-month contract in Research Triangle Park, NC.

The role focuses on identifying, developing, and testing new technologies for medical devices, with emphasis on chemical and materials aspects of devices. You will work under a senior scientist to design and execute studies, develop mixing/coating methods, and perform stability and elution testing while learning new tools and translating concepts to pilot

Qualifications

• Hands-on lab experience with chemicals/materials and basic procedures.
• Familiarity with instrumentation and analytical characterization tools like spectroscopy and chromatography.
• Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
• Ability to design, execute and document experiments and interpret results.
• Background in translating concepts to pilot-scale processes is valued.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute studies to assess viability of technologies.
• Develop processes including mixing/coating methods, stability and elution testing.
• Learn and establish new experimental tools and transfer technologies to pilot scale.
• Contribute to test method development for medical device prototypes.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary team and communicate findings.
• Adapt to changing requirements in a dynamic R&D environment.
• Participate in development of polymeric materials and formulations as needed.
• Present experimental results and support decision making.
