Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc in Research Triangle Park, NC is seeking an entry-level Scientist 2, Chemistry on a 12-month contract (W2). The role offers a 40-hour work week, 1st shift, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, pay rate $35-45/hr, and requires US work authorization.

You will join an Innovation team supporting medical device technologies, focusing on drug delivery systems and soft matter formulation development, with strong emphasis on collaboration and documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or related field is required; advanced degree preferred.
• PhD or MS with industry experience or BS with 4+ years in pharma/medical devices.
• Experience with drug delivery, soft matter, and materials characterization.

Responsibilities

• Carry out experimental studies relating to drug/device combination technology.
• Provide expertise in drug formulation and delivery technologies, soft materials characterization, and drug-biomaterials-tissue interactions.
• Work with project team members to plan and execute technical assessments of coatings for medical devices and drug delivery technologies/products.
• Responsible for the execution of technical work and communication of results to various stakeholders.
• Investigating and resolving technical problems and managing different workstreams to meet program objectives and timelines.
• Author/review SOPs, test/project reports, and other documents as required to execute studies in the laboratory.
• Work with project team leadership to help ensure a smooth transition of projects from the Innovation phase to product development.
