Job summary

Pace Analytical in Lexington, VA is seeking a Scientist I to support the analysis of standard chemistry and biochemistry samples. You will follow established SOPs and operate common analytical instruments to generate reliable data in a regulated laboratory environment.

The role emphasizes data interpretation, documentation, and collaboration with staff and management to resolve issues and drive accuracy. Working Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with hourly compensation of $15.00.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry/biochemistry or closely related field.
• Fundamental principles and practices of chemistry/biochemistry.
• Familiarity with SOPs, testing tools and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provides fundamental analysis using standard analytical instrumentation.
• Reviews, interprets and documents testing results.
• Calibrates equipment and maintains laboratory area.
• Collaborates with staff and management to resolve questions.
