Job summary

Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) seeks adjunct Chemistry faculty to teach day and evening courses for majors and non-majors at multiple campus locations in Catonsville, Dundalk and Essex, MD. Instructors will prepare and deliver lectures, submit course materials on time, and coordinate with the department chair.

Availability for one weekly office hour per class is required. Adjunct Level 1 pays $1,085 per credit hour.

Qualifications

• A Master of Science in Chemistry or related field with appropriate course work is required for lecture instructors.
• A Bachelor of Science with appropriate education and experience is required for lab instructors.
• Instructional experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adjunct faculty will prepare and deliver instruction, cooperate with College support staff by timely submission of materials for duplication and grades, and coordinate activities with the Department Chairperson or discipline coordinator.
• Adjunct faculty will be available to help students during one office hour each week (for each class).
• Will participate in some Departmental or College activities, and are encouraged to participate in professional development.
