Job summary

MAPEI is seeking an R&D Chemist Intern to collaborate with our R&D and Quality teams, supporting projects and everyday lab operations. The program offers exposure to technical, operational, and commercial teams and may lead to future full-time Lab Technician opportunities.

The internship runs May–August 2027 (12 weeks) with rotations across R&D Laboratory and factory locations, including Deerfield Beach, FL, Calhoun, GA, Swedesboro, NJ, and Garland, TX.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field (juniors and seniors preferred).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present technical information clearly.
• Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and an innovative mindset.
• Motivation to learn, succeed, and adapt in a lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the R&D team to execute department goals.
• Work on special projects and initiatives in a laboratory setting.
• Support laboratory testing work and ensure accurate results.
• Prepare and maintain lab notes and documentation.
• Assist in generating reports and presentations for the technical team.

This experience may lead to future full‑time Lab Technician opportunities within an R&D laboratory or field Quality Control team.

• Prepare and maintain lab notes
• Assist in generating reports and presentations for the technical team

The Program Details

• Fulltime schedule (40 hours weekly)
• Internship Duration: May – August 2027 (12 weeks)
• Rotations: R&D Laboratory (technical training) & practical learning at factory locations
• Host Locations: Deerfield Beach FL, Calhoun GA, Swedesboro NJ, Garland, TX
