Job summary

HF Sinclair Sinclair, WY seeks a Chemist to perform routine and non-routine chemistry assignments in the Lab Department under limited supervision. May lead the work of others from time to time.

The role involves testing raw materials, intermediates and finished products, maintaining QA standards, and coordinating with other departments. Travel up to 10% may be required in some locations.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of laboratory testing methods.
• Working knowledge of petroleum products testing.
• Ability to train and lead the work of others if location requires.
• Good reading and writing skills; strong mathematical calculation ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard tests on raw materials, intermediates and finished products.
• Ensure testing follows established methods and procedures.
• Document, report and certify results; maintain QA documentation.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment; perform routine maintenance.
• Coordinate sampling and testing with other departments; support compliance monitoring.
• Operate chromatographs and handle hazardous samples as required.
