Job summary

HF Sinclair is seeking a Chemist for their Sonneborn facility in Petrolia, Pennsylvania. The Chemist performs analyses and tests in connection with process control, process improvement, raw material evaluation, and quality control in all product lines.

Experience with UV-Vis, HPLC, GC, XRF, FTIR is preferred. A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with a GPA of 3.0 or higher is required, along with strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or closely related field required.
• GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale) or higher.
• Experience in a chemistry lab and familiarity with analytical instrumentation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine chemical analyses and tests using established methods.
• Record results accurately and report to the supervisor.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
• Support quality programs and procedures and handle discrepancies promptly.
• Work weekend/call-out rotation as needed.
