Job summary

Stratum Reservoir is seeking a Chemist I to conduct routine tests following SOPs for isotopic data generation from diverse sample types, including natural gas. You will operate GC systems, isotope ratio MS, and preparation equipment, while maintaining data quality and collaborating with the team.

The role requires independent work, adherence to QHSSE policies, and occasional work at satellite labs or home-based coordination with technicians as needed.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemistry, Geochemistry, or related science field.
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and basic lab techniques.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from management and senior chemists.
• QC data and import into central database.
• Operate GC systems to determine chemical makeup of natural gas samples.
• Operate vacuum systems to prepare samples for isotopic analysis.
• Analyze gas samples on GC-C-IRMS and EA-IRMS/TD-IRMS for isotope ratios.
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment; ensure safety compliance.
