Job summary

OxyChem seeks an experienced Technical Service Specialist at our Dallas corporate office to support the Basic Chemicals business. You will provide technical support to customers, sales, and operations, develop data sheets, and train staff on product applications and safe handling.

This role requires a chemistry or chemical engineering degree, 5 years in chlor-alkali or related fields, strong problem solving, and proven communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other relevant technical disciplines.
• 5 years of Chlor-Alkali industry experience or closely related field.
• Must have knowledge of fundamental chemical principles, laboratory practices, and laboratory and process safety.
• High degree of problem solving and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain environmental, health, and safety standards as our top priority for employees, customers, and communities.
• Provide technical support to customers, sales, business management, and supply chain to grow the business.
• Serve as primary technical contact with customers and respond to inquiries.
• Recommend product specifications, quality parameters, and shipping guidelines meeting plant capabilities and customer needs.
• Develop Technical Data Sheets and Technical Bulletins for portfolio products.
• Train new sales and technical staff on product applications and safe handling.
