Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Chemical Texturing Equipment Engineer for Starlink to own wet chemical texturing tools and preclean equipment used in silicon solar cell manufacturing at large scale. You will collaborate with the Texturing Process Engineering team to ensure equipment performance, reliability, and uptime while supporting 1GW+ scale production for Starlink satellites and Moon/Mars missions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
  • 2+ years owning and maintaining chemical process equipment in a high-volume setting.
  • Experience handling hazardous chemicals safely.

Responsibilities

  • Install, qualify, maintain, and improve high-throughput texturing and preclean equipment.
  • Drive reliability and uptime for large-volume production with minimal downtime.
  • Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies and spare parts programs.
  • Lead root cause analysis on equipment-related issues and drive corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Process Engineers to implement new process requirements on equipment.
