Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking a Chemical Specialist to manage the Midland Basin chemical program in collaboration with chemical vendors and operations teams. You will ensure adherence to technical principles and deliver on commitments.

The role requires strong communication, deep knowledge of chemical pumps and automation, and experience in upstream/midstream environments. Midland Basin familiarity is preferred. Competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent communication with engineers, foremen, field personnel, and vendors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Spotfire or BI tools a bonus.
• Understanding of various Artificial Lift systems (Beam, Gas, ESP, Plunger).
• Experience with chemical pumps, tanks, and automation.
• 10+ years in upstream/midstream chemical industry.
• Preferred: Midland Basin experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate on Chemical Management Team.
• Collaborate with field-based technicians to deliver SOPs.
• Approve and order new equipment for chemical applications.
• Endorse chemical orders and related invoicing.
• Review chemical data and monthly reports for optimization.
• Monitor and optimize program for cost efficiency per BOE.
• Ensure SOP compliance for operational excellence.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Vendors to implement recommendations.
