Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking a Chemical Specialist to manage the Midland Basin chemical program in collaboration with vendors and field teams. The role emphasizes delivering on operational and technical principles while optimizing costs.

The candidate should bring 10+ years in upstream/midstream chemistry, strong communication, and deep knowledge of chemical pumps, tanks, and automation. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent communication with engineers, foremen and field personnel.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Spotfire/BI tools a bonus.
• Knowledge of various chemical pumps, tanks, and automation.
• 10+ years of upstream/midstream chemical industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate on Chemical Management Team.
• Collaborate with field technicians to deliver SOPs.
• Approve and order new chemical equipment.
• Endorse chemical order requests and invoicing.
• Review chemical data and monthly reports for optimization.
• Monitor and optimize program for cost efficiency.
• Ensure SOP compliance for operational excellence.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Ops and Vendors on recommendations.
