Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Able to read and understand batch tickets.
Basic math skills required.
Able to lift 55 pounds.
Able to climb stairs or ladders.
First Aid, AED, CPR training a plus.

Responsibilities

Measure, weigh, and load pigments and resins into mills per batch tickets.
Adjust controls to regulate temperature and times of mixtures.
Observe safety precautions to prevent injuries and fires.
Patrol work areas to detect leaks and equipment malfunctions.
Provide and maintain a safe work environment via safety programs and audits.
Monitor instruments to verify process conditions.
Operate PLC-controlled chemical processes and machines.
Confer with technical staff to report safety and quality issues.
Draw samples and conduct quality control tests to meet standards.
Package and label finished products per regulations.
Load/unload trucks and record incoming materials.
Pick finished goods for shipping and label hazardous/nonhazardous goods per DOT.
Clean production equipment and transfer waste to proper containers.
Provide production/changeover reports to supervisors.
