Job summary

Sun Chemical Corporation is seeking a manufacturing associate in Newark, NJ to support pigment and resin processing. You will measure, mix, and monitor batch processes, follow safety protocols, and participate in production audits. The role requires basic math, batch ticket literacy, and lifting up to 55 lbs, with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification required.
• Able to read and understand batch tickets.
• Basic math skills.
• Able to lift 55 pounds.
• Able to climb stairs or ladders.
• First Aid/CPR/AED training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Measure, weigh, and load pigments and resins into mills.
• Adjust controls to regulate temperature and times of mixtures.
• Observe safety precautions to prevent injuries or fires.
• Monitor instruments and alarms to verify process conditions.
• Draw samples and conduct quality control tests.
• Label and package finished products per rules.
• Load/unload trucks and collect/have raw materials ready.
