Job summary

Omya is seeking a Production Operator to execute manufacturing processes, load materials, and follow BOM specifications in a safe, timely manner. You will read instruments, record operations, and contribute to product quality through testing. The role includes packaging, instrument maintenance, and adherence to QSHE guidelines.

The position requires a high school diploma, 5 years of industrial experience, and the ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends. DOE pay applies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5 years of industrial/manufacturing experience in a chemical or related field.
• Experience in a maintenance role for manufacturing operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication in local language.

Responsibilities

• Operate designated production equipment to execute manufacturing processes.
• Select intermediates or raw materials and load into production machines according to BOM/formula specifications.
• Read control instruments and prepare accurate records of operations.
• Ensure product quality through testing and maintain records for materials, tests and equipment performance.
• Prepare packaging for next production step or shipment according to department specs.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper operation of laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Comply with QSHE guidelines; support safety and environmental requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
