Job summary

Omya Florence, SC is hiring a 2nd Shift Production Operator to set up and operate production systems, test products for quality, and maintain equipment with maintenance support as needed.

You will document key parameters, comply with safety standards, and participate in continuous improvement. The role includes overtime weekend work and a $1/hour shift differential for highlighted shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in industrial equipment desirable.
• Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
• Ability to read, understand and follow procedures; strong troubleshooting skills.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks on and off equipment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a production setting.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production machinery to meet daily and weekly goals.
• Rigorously test systems and products to ensure quality and safety.
• Maintain and repair machinery; collaborate with Maintenance to resolve issues.
• Keep meticulous records of parameters and equipment status.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and quality procedures; pursue continuous learning.
