Job summary

Arkema, a global leader in innovative materials, seeks a production operator to oversee preparation, staging, and processing of chemicals in a plant environment. You will load, weigh, and mix ingredients, operate pumps and kettles, and ensure batch records are accurate and up to date.

The role requires compliance with safety procedures, ability to read plant specifications, and hands-on experience with forklifts and material handling.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of chemical processing experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to read plant specifications and follow procedures precisely.
• Comfort with forklift operations and manual handling in a plant environment.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow SPS/SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Operate kettles and pumps to load, mix, or transfer chemicals for batch production.
• Unload raw materials and stage materials for processing.
• Pack finished products and maintain accurate process records.
• Sample products for viscosity, color, OH#, and acid value to guide process adjustments.
• Monitor equipment, detect leaks or malfunctions, and support maintenance as needed.
• Follow safety guidelines to prevent fires, explosions, and accidents.
