Job summary

Arkema in Ashland, OH seeks a Chemical Operator I to perform operator duties at the Ashland facility, including compounding, blending, and material prep. You will ensure product quality and efficiency using DCS and MRP systems.

You must follow all safety rules, work 2nd/3rd shifts, and be willing to work frequent overtime. A high school diploma and 1 year of manufacturing experience are required, with the ability to lift 50 pounds and wear PPE.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Safety conscious, reliable, and have a strong work ethic.
• Minimum of one year of manufacturing experience; chemical experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and wear PPE as required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules, procedures, policies and laws at all times.
• Safely operate an industrial lift truck (sit down and stand up).
• Compounding and staging of raw materials.
• Blending of chemicals and powders; charging to mixers.
• Monitor mixers during mixing and reaction; use DCS to control processes.
• Label and fill containers; take samples to ensure quality.
• Complete shop floor paperwork in written and electronic formats.
• Use MRP system; participate in safety meetings and training.
• Work 2nd or 3rd shift with frequent overtime (12 hour shifts).
