Job summary

Arkema is seeking a Chemical Operator in the Piedmont, SC area to support daily manufacturing operations. You will stage raw materials, operate vessels, and adjust process controls to maintain product quality and yield. You will also complete batch records and perform in-process QC tests.

The role involves forklift operation, minor maintenance, safety training, and the possibility of rotating shifts or overtime to meet production needs.

• 3+ years of chemical environment experience.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, or other hours as required.
• Experience in forklift operation.
• Ability to perform physical essentials (climb stairs and/or ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, wear FRC uniforms, wear full face respirator occasionally)

Responsibilities

• Daily Operations (70 %)
• Perform raw material staging for batches.
• Operate production vessels, including batch reactors and blenders
• Use automated and manual process controls to adjust process parameters
• Package finished products in drums and IBCs
• Complete batch sheets, logbooks and other records neatly and accurately.
• Sample batches and perform in-process Quality Control testing.
• Perform other duties or training as required or requested.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude by performing minor maintenance.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and diagnose equipment and process issues.
• Complete required safety training.
