Job summary

Cindavi in Belle, West Virginia is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to own critical process and batch tracking, collaborate with operations and safety teams, and drive sustained improvements across safety, quality, yield, and throughput.

You will work with controls, capital projects, and scale-up efforts, ensuring procedures and training are practical and effective on the plant floor.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 3+ years in process/production engineering in a production environment.
• Experience with batch and/or continuous processing and process troubleshooting.
• Exposure to Process Safety Management, PHAs, or safety-critical operating practices.
• Strong communication to turn complex issues into clear action plans and procedures.
• Ownership mindset to prioritize plant needs and complete work.

Responsibilities

• Own process and batch tracking, investigate anomalies, and drive improvements in safety, quality, yield, and throughput.
• Partner with operators on the plant floor to troubleshoot live process issues and implement practical solutions.
• Support new-product introduction, scale-up, plant tests, and transfer of processes to Operations.
• Develop and improve batch sheets, SOPs, PFDs, P&IDs, and mass/energy balances.
• Participate in PSM activities, process hazard reviews, pre-startup readiness, and safety-critical support.
• Collaborate on controls, capital projects, equipment installations, vendor coordination, and operator training.

Are you a Chemical Process Engineer who thrives on solving difficult problems where they actually happen: on the plant floor?

Position Summary

Your next process improvement should not die in a spreadsheet. It should change how a plant runs.

We are expanding production capacity and bringing new products into our specialty chemical manufacturing facility onsite in Belle, West Virginia. We need a Process Engineer who brings strong technical judgment, practical plant instincts, and the drive to take ownership from the first walkdown through sustained improvement.

This is a hands-on engineering role. You will work directly with Operations, safety, maintenance, controls, and leadership to troubleshoot processes, strengthen production tracking, support scale-up, and make the plant safer, more reliable, and more efficient. If you want broad responsibility and visible impact instead of a narrow desk-only role, this is built for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Own critical process and batch tracking, investigate anomalies, and turn data into lasting improvements in safety, quality, yield, and throughput.
• Partner with operators on the plant floor to troubleshoot live process issues, develop practical solutions, and ensure procedures work where they matter.
• Support new-product introduction, scale-up, plant tests, and the transfer of processes into safe, reliable Operations execution.
• Develop and improve batch sheets, operating procedures, specifications, PFDs, P&IDs, and mass and energy balances.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline. Equivalent process-manufacturing experience will also be considered.
• 3 or more years of process engineering, process development, or manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment.
• Practical experience with batch and/or continuous processing, process troubleshooting, and technical support for operations.
• Exposure to Process Safety Management, PHAs, process hazard reviews, or other safety-critical operating practices.
• The communication skills to turn complex technical issues into clear action plans, usable procedures, and effective operator training.
• The composure and ownership mindset to prioritize competing plant needs, ask smart questions, and follow work through to completion.

Experience in specialty chemicals, hazardous manufacturing, DeltaV or similar controls systems, scale-up, and capital projects is highly valued.

We offer a base salary of $105,000 to $130,000, a target annual bonus of 5% to 10%, and potential relocation support for the right candidate. You will join a team that values safety, practical problem-solving, continuous learning, and engineers who want to make a difference where it counts.
