Job summary

Hydrite Chemical Co. is seeking a Process Operator to manage chemical processes, adjust variables, and ensure safe operations on a 2-2-3 shift schedule (6:00 AM–6:30 PM) with every-other weekend.

You will monitor equipment, collect samples, document data, and support environmental, health, and safety programs. Ideal candidates have basic computer skills, MS Office, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office.
• Ability to operate a forklift; previous experience preferred.
• Must have communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety and regulatory compliance programs.
• Operate processes (adjusting temperature, pressure, feed rate, sampling) per SOPs and notify supervisor of deviations.
• Record ingredients, weights, and temperature, and input into the database.
• Storing, retrieving, mixing, and monitoring chemicals used in production.
• Troubleshoot issues with production equipment and processes.
• Monitor treatment machines and instruments to ensure proper operation at all times.
• Take chemical samples and perform tests to ensure process progression.
• Regulate or turn off machines in emergencies and follow supervisor instructions.
• Perform auxiliary tasks such as tank transfers and loading/unloading operations.
• Recommend changes in SOPs and process-related equipment.
