Job summary

Nexus Engineering Group is seeking a Process and Instrumentation/Controls Engineer Intern or Co-op to join the design team. You will prepare drawings, calculations, and deliverables for client projects and collaborate with other engineering disciplines to provide cohesive packages.

Responsibilities include performing limited calculations with supervision, developing P&IDs and PFDs, and supporting senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree (or equivalent education) in Chemical Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university
• Ability to work within diverse teams assembled from Nexus, clients, and others
• Effective communication skills in order to convey ideas is a must
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Word
• Seeks feedback to improve performance

Responsibilities

• Complete limited calculations with supervision; hydraulics, relief devices, equipment sizing, valve and flow meter sizing
• Develop and maintain P&IDs, PFDs, and block and loop drawings
• Assist experienced Process and Instrumentation/Controls Engineers with their activities as requested
