Job summary

Nexus Engineering Group is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer Intern or Co-op in Maumee, OH. You will work with a team to prepare drawings, instrument specifications, calculations, and deliverables for design projects, interfacing with other engineering disciplines for cohesive packages.

Responsibilities include performing limited calculations, developing block/loop drawings, and assisting with instrument specifications while gaining exposure to industry standards and vendor

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BS in Chemical or Electrical Engineering from a four-year college or university.
• Ability to work within diverse teams assembled from Nexus, clients, and others.
• Effective communication skills to convey ideas.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
• Familiar with AutoCAD or other drafting software.

Responsibilities

• Complete calculations of limited complexity with supervision as needed; may include control valve and flow meter sizing.
• Develop and maintain block and loop drawings.
• Provide support with instrument specifications.
• Assist experienced Instrumentation & Controls Engineers with their activities as requested.
