Job summary

Ashland Inc. in Calvert City, KY is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer to join our ISP Technologies unit. You will support batch production, troubleshoot operations, and contribute to optimization projects in a visible role reporting to the Operations Manager.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Chemical Engineering with 1–5 years of chemical manufacturing experience, and is capable of handling emergencies and using PPE as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 1–5 years in chemical manufacturing environment (Co-ops/internships count).
• Respond appropriately during site emergencies as directed by the Site Emergency Manager.
• Able to evacuate manufacturing areas quickly if an emergency occurs.
• Must wear appropriate PPE in manufacturing areas.

Responsibilities

• Review daily operation of batch production areas and troubleshoot processes.
• Collect and analyze data to optimize processes and improve quality and yields.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager and staff on continuous improvement efforts.
• Work with Operators, Engineers, Supervisors to develop and improve process control systems.
• Coordinate with R&D/Pilot Plant on new products.
• Perform other related duties to ensure efficient department functioning.
