FPC National in Decatur, Alabama is seeking a Process Engineer to provide technical support to chemical manufacturing operations. The role focuses on monitoring unit performance, troubleshooting issues, improving production efficiency, and maintaining safe, compliant operations.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Chemical Engineering, has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and preferably distillation experience in a chemical environment.

Competenze

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering is required.
• Experience with distillation processes in a chemical manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must have been in current position for a minimum of six months.
• Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing processes, process engineering principles, and production unit operations.

Mansioni

• Monitor daily process unit operations and provide technical support to Production to maintain safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve product quality, increase production capacity, reduce operating costs, lower emissions, and enhance workplace safety.
• Investigate production, safety, environmental, and quality issues; perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop, conduct, and evaluate process tests to assess proposed operating changes and improve manufacturing performance.
• Provide engineering support for existing equipment, process troubleshooting, maintenance activities, and equipment reliability improvements.
