Job summary

Globe Composite Solutions, based in Stoughton, MA, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to lead urethane casting processes and support process improvements across multiple casting methods.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, DOE/DMAIC/PDCA practice, data-driven decision making, and collaboration with sales, planning, finance, and maintenance to meet contract requirements. A BS in chemical engineering and 2-5 years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering.
• 2-5 years of related work experience in manufacturing and/or project management.
• Experience in process engineering, including work instruction generation, process development and diagrams, and process flow.
• Previous experience in specifying and onboarding new equipment.
• Prior work experience with elastomers, urethane casting & machining, thermoplastics or epoxy resins is desired.

Responsibilities

• Serve as POC on Manufacturing Engineering Team for urethane casting and processor casting.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues with urethane casting across several different casting methods.
• Evaluating current manufacturing processes to identify variables that influence inefficiencies, non-conformances, and the process at large.
• Developing controls to maintain a consistent and cost-effective casting manufacturing process.
• Supporting the manufacturing floor by seeking to maintain a safe and efficient workplace.
• Leading improvement projects focused on increasing accuracy and throughput of quality inspection.
