Job summary

Software Placement Group is seeking a Process Engineer for a Bend, Oregon area facility to join a high-purity batch chemical manufacturing team. You’ll participate across process optimization, quality engineering, product launches, and capital projects to drive growth.

The role requires a BS in Chemical Engineering and 3–5 years in chemicals or pharmaceuticals, with strong PSM exposure, process troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• 3–5 years of post-college experience in chemicals, pharma, or related manufacturing.
• Experience in process optimization, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience in a PSM-regulated environment or knowledge of PSM elements.
• Strong written and verbal communication; team-based collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support process optimization, improvement, and troubleshooting efforts.
• Conduct quality engineering and root-cause analysis.
• Support new product launches, production trials, and product testing.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, EHS, quality, and development teams.
• Help define process requirements and support equipment improvements.
• Contribute to capital project efforts.
• Create or update SOPs, batch records, BOMs, and related manufacturing documentation.
