Job summary

The Plant Manager at CPS4JOBS will lead a chemical manufacturing facility, focusing on safe, efficient production of rubber-related products while meeting quality and regulatory standards. You will drive operational excellence, manage budgets, and mentor the leadership team in a complex, compliance-driven environment.

You will oversee EHS, production, maintenance, engineering, and QA, using Lean/Six Sigma methods to optimize throughput and cost.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemical Engineering required.
• 10+ years in chemicals/petroleum/related processing.
• 3+ years leadership in manufacturing.
• Experience with plant trials and process optimization.
• Expert knowledge of chemical plant/refinery processes.
• Experience supporting capital projects—planning to start-up.
• Familiarity with process instrumentation/controls and simulation tools.
• Exposure to cost engineering and evaluating benefits.
• Familiarity with PSM and risk analysis.
• Strong planning, budgeting, inventory control, and data management.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA/local regulations.
• Direct all plant operations including EHS, production, maintenance, engineering, and QA.
• Develop and execute production plans to meet demand, quality, and cost targets.
• Monitor KPIs such as throughput, yield, downtime, and scrap/rework.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain ISO 9001 quality systems and address customer complaints with root-cause actions.
• Manage plant budgets and optimize costs while maintaining safety and quality.
• Support forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.
• Develop and coach department managers and staff across the plant.
• Oversee maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
• Lead process improvements and automation projects for scalability.
