CPS Inc. is seeking an Operations Engineer with hands‑on chemical manufacturing experience to support multiple production areas and act as a Subject Matter Expert on technical processes.

The ideal candidate will drive root cause analyses, implement improvements, and collaborate with operators, maintenance, and engineers. Growth opportunities include leadership roles across facilities or corporate headquarters.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering with 1–5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong unit operations experience: filtration, batch reactors, heat exchangers, pumps, instrumentation and controls.
• PSM knowledge and ability to lead investigations.
• Excellent communication with operators, maintenance personnel, and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day production support across multiple chemical production areas.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process upsets.
• Review campaign data sheets to identify variances and optimize future runs.
• Drive productivity improvements and debottlenecking across the plants.
• Coordinate with engineering for capital projects and act as manufacturing representative.
• Assist training of Operators and participate in hazard reviews and management of change.
