Job summary

LyondellBasell is seeking an Extruder Operator for the Fairport Harbor facility to monitor and operate plant equipment and support maintenance. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and quality production with 12-hour rotating shifts and adherence to environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Willing and able to work 12-hour rotating shifts and provide overtime.
• Willing and able to work occasional plant call-outs.
• Must be willing to work with hazardous and/or flammable chemicals (with proper safety precautions, training, and equipment).

Responsibilities

• Maintain personal safety and promote a safe work environment.
• Operate and monitor plant equipment to maximize reliability and quality.
• Troubleshoot processes and equipment; assist with maintenance.
• Record data readings and use SAP for process and inventory tasks.
• Communicate accurately and timely with co-workers and supervisors.
• Push for right-first-time production and proper unit operation.
• Support cross-functional teams and participate in safety and improvement initiatives.
