Arkema SA in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a Chemical Operator to support production of chemical products. The role includes material staging, equipment operation, in-process testing, and product packaging, using manual and automated systems to monitor and adjust processes for high-quality in-spec products.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be safety conscious.
• Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience.
• Must be able to use computer.
• Be willing to work any shift.
• Strong work ethic.
• Ability to work with others.

Responsabilités

• Must follow all safety rules, regulations, operating procedures, and corporate/plant policies.
• Wear powered air purifying respirator as needed.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to go up and down stairs.
• Safely operate an industrial truck lift.
• Compounding and staging of raw materials.
• Blending of chemicals and powders.
• Monitoring mixers during the mixing and reaction.
• Use of distributed control systems to control and monitor process.
• Labeling and filling containers with product.
• Take samples of powder and liquids to ensure product quality, stage empty containers, maintain satisfactory housekeeping standards, and prepare equipment for maintence.
• Safely handling industrial chemicals.
• Must be willing to wear personal protectiveequipment, including chemical suit, respirator, face shield, goggles, gloves and hard hat.
• Use of MRP system.
• Participate in company safety meetings and trainings.
• Assist in shipping and receiving.
