Job summary

The Arkema Group in Mobile, AL is seeking a Chemical Operator to produce chemical products using multiple technologies at the Mobile plant. You will follow predefined processes and safety procedures to ensure quality and safe operations.

Team-based role requiring good communication, accurate data entry, and reporting. You will troubleshoot equipment and contribute to reducing production time while maintaining environmental and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Three years work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ERP (SAP) preferred experience.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Microsoft; manufacturing applications a plus.
• Self motivation and ability to perform multiple tasks at once with minimum supervision.
• Ability to accurately report information both manually and using the computer.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform field duties to ensure proper production: follow recipes, processes, and procedures.
• Pull samples for testing in QC lab and make decisions on test results.
• Understand and may use DCS to control production process.
• Correctly control various types of equipment and troubleshoot problems within the work area.
• Walk the line when required to prevent spills.
• Move materials using forklift or other equipment.
• Package and label finished or intermediate goods accurately as required.
• Complete cleaning procedures as directed.
• Complete all reporting accurately and timely.
