A Day in the Life

Join our team in Mystic, CT, where we manufacture medical products used in nasal, ear, and eye procedures. As a Chemical Operator I, you'll play a vital role in producing safe, high-quality medical materials that directly support patient care.

This is a full-time, direct hire position, with full benefits eligibility, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, up-front tuition benefits, and more.

Shift: Monday-Thursday, 4:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Pay: $20/hr (entry level) - $21/hr (depending on prior manufacturing experience)

What You'll Do

  • Operate a variety of chemical process equipment including mixers, grinders, dryers, filter presses, pumps, and filling machines
  • Follow detailed procedures to safely mix and handle compounds such as formaldehyde, polymers, and oxidizing agents
  • Monitor processes and perform quality control checks to ensure product consistency and safety
  • Handle and soak materials in SDS solutions (e.g., water, baking soda, peroxide) to remove residual chemicals, followed by multiple rinse cycles
  • Wear full PPE and a mask to ensure safety and compliance with OSHA regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Entry-level: no prior experience required
  • Ability to read and follow complex, technical procedures in English
  • Intermediate verbal communication skills in English, and ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers
  • Attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset
  • Willingness to learn, follow safety protocols, and grow within a regulated manufacturing environment

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$39,600.00 - $59,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance , Health Savings Account , Healthcare Flexible Spending Account , Life insurance, Long-term disability leave , Dependent daycare spending account , Tuition assistance/reimbursement , and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
