Job summary

FUCHS Lubricants Co. is seeking a Chemical Operator to join our Kansas City team. You will support high-performance lubricant production in a fast-paced, safety-first environment, following precise batch instructions and quality standards.

You will operate equipment, input data into SAP, and help manage raw materials, packaging, and inventory while maintaining a clean, compliant work area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (technical experience a plus!).
• 3+ years in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with compounding, blending, or mixing required.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in varying temperatures.
• Basic computer skills (SAP, MS Office).
• A self‑starter attitude with the ability to work independently.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures, from hot to cold.

Responsibilities

• Always wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Safely operate forklifts or pallet jacks to retrieve and move packaging materials.
• Blend raw materials into high-quality products based on precise customer specs.
• Follow detailed batch instructions to ensure consistency and quality.
• Operate mixers, pumps, and mills through analog and HMI controls.
• Using an RF Scanner, input material movements into SAP software to manage inventory and production data.
• Load and unload bulk tanker trucks and operate a spotter truck.
• Unload railcar raw materials.
• Label and fill packaging items in compliance with company, DOT, and OSHA standards.
• Accurately measure and weigh chemicals into designated containers, following detailed instructions.
• Complete batch tickets and manufacturing logs to ensure full compliance with company policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area at all times.
• Report any damaged or missing inventory to supervisors promptly.
• Support other duties and special projects as assigned.
